In this book, Dave originated it with his experiences as a tennis player, coach and counselor.  It is a book dealing with understanding ourselves, that should motivate not only tennis players and coaches, but anyone who wishes to become a better person.  It might challenge some basic beliefs about learning and being.  Nevertheless, the story transcends mere "learning techniques", because it answers basic questions about how we learn and what motivates each of us.

Mr. Lovano, the main character in the story, is more than a coach and teacher; he is a transformer, who blends together on the tennis court the wisdom of past and present generations to show how the ideas complement each other.  His techniques and modern ideas - using a computer as an assessment tool - help his students make quantum leaps in attitude modification so they can become successful tennis players and better people.
